Feelings & Emotions Mind Map Rubric

A technology-based assessment rubric I designed to measure emotional understanding, creativity, organization, communication, and technology skills.

Assignment Description

Students create a digital mind map using MindMeister (or another approved technology tool) to explore feelings, emotions, and healthy coping strategies. Students organize ideas using colors, images, symbols, and labels to show their understanding of emotions and emotional regulation skills. This assignment measures emotional understanding, creativity, organization, communication, and technology skills.

Measurable Learning Objectives

  • Identify at least four emotions and explain their meanings.
  • Describe healthy coping strategies connected to emotions.
  • Use technology tools to organize information visually.
  • Demonstrate creativity through colors, images, and design.
  • Communicate ideas clearly using digital presentation skills.
