An interactive GooseChase scavenger hunt I designed to welcome families into the school community and introduce them to special education, speech, and student support services.

Families explore the school through their phones using the GooseChase mobile app, completing missions that introduce them to the people, places, and services their child will encounter throughout the year. The goal is simple: every family should feel welcomed, informed, and connected before the first bell rings.

Educational connection
This GooseChase experience reflects my work as a Special Education Paraeducator and Speech Therapy Aide. It shows how mobile technology can make parent orientation engaging, interactive, and welcoming while introducing families to the supports available for all learners. As a future special education teacher, I would use this activity to build trusting relationships with families from the very first days of the school year.
